Wesley Buckeridge   Edmund Bertram

 

Wesley Buckeridge has worked with FITD in four productions prior to FMWL and has enjoyed every single one. Outside of FITD, Wesley has acted with several companies performing various works by Shakespeare, Shakespeare and more Shakespeare! Wesley has been fortunate in the past to have been given many amazing opportunities to play such varied parts such as being a drunk castaway, a pompous thespian, a crippled hag, a boy King, a romantic hero, a manipulative fairy and a bumbling fool.

As well as acting, Wesley has directed, co-directed and assistant directed several shows in the past. He has also had the chance to write several plays, co-host a trilogy of fantastic showcases plus was part of a production that toured across the city of Budapest.

Relatively new to the world of Austen (compared to many others involved in FMWL) Wesley is excited to be a part of a fresh take on a novel that is still being dissected and intently analysed to this day. Stepping into the shoes of a character that many view as their least favourite Austen 'hero' was and still is daunting to say the least. However, Wesley hopes to bring a sincerity and honesty to the role in the attempt to sway people's opinions of the 'blind Bertram'.
